BBS is a service focused company run by bike mechanics. Our reputation matters tremendously as most of our business comes from your good word. Fixing your bike shouldn’t cost you more than its value. Unfortunately modern bicycles are increasingly complicated and expensive. Modern drivetrains, while impressive and reliable, are under increased strain from E-bikes and of course, your powerful legs! While there will be a cost of service, our goal is to keep bicycling accessible. Meeting your expectations is an important part of earning trust. Pricing our work is challenging due to many variables. Often we find previously unknown damage or wear. This is why we only have a few fixed rates for items such as the basic tune up. Instead of listing a price for every possible repair or service, we want to promise you a result. This is obviously good for you because your bike get’s fixed regardless of what the problem was and it is also good for us because we let the mechanic make the decisions. The mechanic will bring to your attention any additional service recommendations whether that is worn or broken items. You decide whether they are addressed immediately or scheduled for later.

Here are some things to consider when scheduling your bike for service. If it hasn’t been serviced in some time you should expect that it will require more than the basic tune up. High wear items such as brake pads, chain and cassette, cables, and tires may be recommended for replacement. You are in control and we will not fix anything unless you authorize it.
